Passed away peacefully with family by his side on April 13, 2024 at Credit Valley Hospital.
Roman was predeceased by his parents Steve and Olga Capar. Life partner to Grace Romano and stepfather to Britany Romano. Beloved brother of Terry (Lesia deceased), Darlene and husband John. Loving ‘funcle’ to nieces Tamara (Carson), Larisa (Andrij), Sophie (Shayne), and Rachel (Beat), and great-uncle to his little bud Artem.
Roman’s sole purpose in life was always putting his family first. His unwavering devotion to his loved ones was evident in every aspect of his life.
In addition to his family and the role he played in their lives, Roman had a secondary family. As the building superintendent for Sheridan Homelands, Roman worked tirelessly for his residents, many of whom became like extended family members to him. His willingness to help anyone and to provide guidance will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He made everyone feel like they were his number one priority. Whether playing UNO with his kindred spirit Lesia, going to NASCAR races with his best friend Brian, or fishing with his brother and brother in-law, we will all remember his smile, wit and mischief.
Roman died the way he lived being optimistic and gracious, something we can all aspire to do. His legacy to his family and those who knew him will be one of love, compassion, and unselfishness.
Gone in body but not in spirit he will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
The families’ heartfelt thanks go out to Romans medical care team at Credit Valley Hospital, their care and compassion was a true blessing.
A Celebration of Roman’s Life will be held at a late date.
