Roger’s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts the family of Roger Caines announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 19th,2023 at the age of 64 years. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife Ruth Caines. Children; Iverina (Jason), Sherry (Kevin) and Tiffany (Stephen). Grandchildren; Dakota (Alley), Megan, Bentley and Chayce. His mother-in-law Marie Parsons. Brothers; Richard Caines (Marilyn) & family, Heber Caines (Joanna), brother-in-law Sam Payne & family, sister-in-law Dorothy Caines & family, brother-in-law Ken Maynard, brother-in-law Bernard Parsons (Della) & family, Juanita & family and special niece Alana Parsons & family. Also left to mourn are many family and friends.
Roger was predeceased by his son Domonick Caines, parents Fred & Doylena Caines. Father-in-law Ronald Parsons. His sister; Linda Payne, his brother; Myles Caines, Sister-in-law Joyce Maynard and brother-in-law Clarence Parsons (Mary).
Roger was not only a loving husband and father, he was the best at everything he done. There is nothing he could not do in the eyes of his family and many more in his life. To the world you were just a man but to us you were the world, as large as life itself. Roger provided a loving home for his family.
Many thanks going out to all who helped dad along the way. Doctors and nurses at Bonne Bay Health Center and Western Memorial Regional Hospital ( ICU & 3rd floor), Dr. Power, Dr. Fudge and Dr. Hickey with much gratitude for treating our dad like family. A special thank you to the Keough families and his special friends Harley and Nancy Payne.
Visitation will be held at The Gospel Hall in Parsons Pond on Tuesday, November 21st,2023 from 7-9 pm and continuing on Wednesday, November 22nd,2023, from 2- 4 pm and 7-9 pm. Where also the funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 23rd,2023, at 2 pm with Mr. Eric Fowler officiating. Interment will follow at the family plot in the Gospel Hall Cemetery.
