FRANCOEUR, Roger
Born December 14th, 1954, peacefully passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre surrounded by his family on Monday, June 26, 2023 in his 69th year. Roger was the beloved husband of Dianne (Shank) Francoeur. Loving father of Julie Francoeur, Joshua Francoeur, Celine Francoeur (Jeremy), and Jacob Francoeur (Shan). Dear grandfather of Kindrie, Leif, Aimee, Belle, Freija, Freeman, Ostara, Amelie, and Melodie and great-grandfather of Beau and Waylon. Roger’s interest spanned all that life had to offer and loved learning. He was a pioneer in many of life’s adventures and challenges. Throughout the years, Roger was a welder/fitter, equipment operator of renown, mining with the 3rd Raisebore division across Canada, in the forestry industry, and excavating foundations and roadways in many areas of the country. His amazing sense of humour, contagious laugh, and vast knowledge on many subjects led him to have his own amazing way of conversing with people of all walks of life, creating an amazing and fun atmosphere surrounding wherever he was. An exceptional fisherman, who loved dirt bikes, fast cars, and music, especially rock and roll, but most of all his most cherished accomplishment – his loving family. Those who knew Roger, were in awe of his strength and his resiliency in the face of adversity, especially in his final days. The family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) Thursday, June 29, 2023, between the hours of 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held at the Paroisse Ste. Bernadette on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 11:00am followed by an interment at Ste. Bernadette Cemetery. The Francoeur Family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate care that was extended towards Roger throughout his courageous battle.
