Rodney “Rod” Allen Gosson, of Digby, passed away on January 9, 2024, in Digby County at the age of 60. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 20, Digby.
Rod was a simple man and he lived life that very same way, Simple. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and time spent with friends and family. He was an avid pool player in his younger years and made a modest living throughout his life working many different jobs. His passion was carpentry and he took great pride in his work. Rod was as quiet in his life as he was in his passing and he leaves behind a large family to fondly share stories of his life.
Rod is survived by his partner, Kate Brown; sisters, Debbie and Heather; brothers, Randy, Jeff, Walter, and Blake; half siblings, Sherman Jr, Kathy, and Linda.
Rodney was predeceased by his parents, Sherman, Sr. and Juanita; half-sister, Gail; nephew, Alex, in infancy.
A Celebration of Rodney’s life will take place on January 27, 2024 at 3:00pm downstairs at the Digby Legion. Funeral service and Interment details to be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 20, Digby or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada . Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Digby County Funeral Chapel, 367 Highway #303, Digby, NS B0V 1A0 (902-245-2444).
