Robert Tyson Ashton- 90, Ecum Secum, passed away November 19, 2024 in St. Mary’s Hospital, Sherbrooke. Born in Ecum Secum June 10, 1934 he was a son of the late Robert & Agnes (Pye) Ashton. Robert lived for many years in Halifax and later moved home to Ecum Secum when he retired. Survived by sister Janet Rudolph, nephews; Stanley (Sharon), Stephen (Earline), niece Sharon Ashton, sister in-law Corinne Ashton, cousin Dorothy Wilson, niece Barbara Hawboldt, great niece Tracey, great nephew Michael, special friends Sonny and Colleen Pace. Predeceased by brothers; Stanley (Jennie), Ronald, sisters; Maxine Matthews, Phyllis (Hubert) Morris, Brenda Vallis and niece Cheryl Prior. Cremation has taken place. A graveside committal will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to St. Barnabas Cemetery Fund, Ecum Secum. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Robert and his family.
