Robert S. Joralemon age 78 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Monday December 11, 2023 as a result of exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. Bob was born April 9, 1945 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Robert N. Joralemon and Joyce Irene Greatsinger Joralemon. He was a graduate of Southside High School Class of 1963. Bob was a Veteran of The Vietnam War serving two tours in Vietnam with The US ARMY and received The Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Clusters. He married his wife, Sharon L. Brown Joralemon, on February 15, 1969 they would have celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary on February 15, 2024. Bob was a manager and buyer for Panosian’s in Elmira, NY for many years. In addition to his parents, Bob was pre-deceased by his brothers and sister David N. Joralemon, Richard E. Joralemon ,William J. Joralemon, Sandra Joralemon; brother-in-law Ronald Brown and nephew Thomas Hurley Brown. He was an avid fisherman who Robert S. Joralemon age 78 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Monday December 11, 2023 as a loved to fish at Cayuga Lake and any other lake or stream. Bob and Sharon took meticulous care of their home and you could always see Bob mowing his yard and tending to his trees and plants. Bob loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife Sharon L. Joralemon ; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Jane Greenlee Joralemon of Pine City, NY , Joan (Mrs. Ronald) Brown of Michigan , Donna and Douglas Coles of Horseheads, NY , and Richard and Camille Brown of Elmira, NY ; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends. Sharon would like to thank the Hospice Nurses who provided Bob with such loving and compassionate care. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bob’s Funeral Services on Monday December 18, 2023 at 1:30 PM at The First Methodist Church of Horseheads 1034 West Broad Street Horseheads, NY with the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey MacDowell officiating. Bob will be laid to rest in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira, NY at the convenience of the family where Full Military Honors will be accorded to him. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Bob through memorials to The First United Methodist Church Endowment Fund 1034 West Broad Street Horseheads, NY 14845 or to a charity of one’s choice.
