Robert Kenneth Abbott known as Bob of Newcastle Ontario born on January 22,1954, passed into the glory of Heaven, Tuesday November 28th 2023. Eternally loved by God his Heavenly Father, unconditionally loved by his beloved wife Janice Louise Abbott (Ewald) happily married for almost 42 years through thick and thin, and proud loving father of Amielia, Amberlea, Madeline & Nathaniel.
His greatest love is His Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and he loved to share his faith with family, friends and anyone who crossed his path. He was a faithful member, deacon and elder at NFBC for 35 yrs.
Up until Bob’s retirement he worked at the Regional Municipality of Durham, retiring after 20 yrs. His greatest hobby in retirement years was vegetable gardening. Bob also loved baking and made the best pecan pies in the world. He enjoyed baking and gardening right up until his hospitalization.
We are heart-broken to have to say good-bye for now but look forward to the day in heaven when we will be united together again, praising God.
Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street North Bowmanville on Thursday November 30th, 2023 from 6 – 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held at NEWCASTLE FELLOWSHIP BAPTIST CHURCH, 200 King Avenue East Newcastle on Friday December 1st, 2023 at 1 pm, with visitation from 12 – 1 pm. Interment Bond Head Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to Newcastle Fellowship Baptist Church, Debt Reduction Fund.
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come,
nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing,
