SMITH, Roberta Eugene peacefully at home with her daughters on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Roberta Smith of Wiarton in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Norman ‘Murray’ Smith (1989). Cherished mother of Brenda Fraser of Hillsdale and Rhonda Smith of Wiarton. Much loved grandmother of Andrew Fraser (Heather) of Orillia, Teisha Kaiser (Brent) of Calgary, Alberta, Janissa Wood (Kyle) of Hillsdale and Brock Urbshott (Jessica) of Kleinburg. Special great grandmother ‘GG’ to Gregory, Bradley, Ryland, Payton, Brinley, Travis, Dylan and Easton. Dearest brother of Ronald Ackerman of Shallow Lake. Special daughters Gayle Campell and Rainy Givens and gran to Dawn Scott. Missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Roberta (nee Hill) and Roy Ackerman, son Bruce, sisters Christine Campbell (Howard) and Mabel Penyk (William), brothers Arthur (in infancy) and Russell Ackerman and brother-in-law Wilbert Smith.
The funeral service will be conducted from the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Tuesday June 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment Eastnor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of remembrance to St. Margaret’s Chapel, Cape Chin or St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Wiarton would be appreciated.
