Roberta
Viola Bernadine (Eaton) Bishop – 88, of Coldbrook, passed
away peacefully in the QEII-Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, on Tuesday,
September 17, 2024. Born in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late
Arthur and Hazel (Saltzman) Eaton.
Prior to
retirement, Roberta worked for MT&T, where she created
lifelong friendships. Roberta was caring and compassionate to all
those around her, and always put the needs of others first. She had a
great sense of humour and was always up for an adventure. She was an
avid music fan, especially for The Rolling Stones, who she got the
opportunity to see at the young age of 70, from the very front row.
Her love for the Montreal Canadiens could be heard as well during a
game, especially when they scored. She was passionate about the time
she spent working with the Kentville Historical Society and the Burial
Grounds Care Society of Kings
County.
Roberta
is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Gerald
«Jerry» Bishop, Evergreen Home for Special Care,
Kentville; children, Michael Bishop (Leanne), Wilmot and Charmaine
Bishop (Glen Fitzgerald), Coldbrook; beloved grandchildren, Kelsey
(Samson) Learn, Staci Bishop, Jessica MacQuarrie and Alexis
MacQuarrie; and sweet great-granddaughter, Avia Bishop. She was
predeceased by her parents; as well as several aunts and uncles, with
whom she was very close throughout their
lives.

Cremation has taken place and there
will be no visitation, by request. A Celebration of
Roberta’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday,
September 25, 2024 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A
livestream of the service will be available. Interment will follow in
the Berwick Cemetery, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to
the Burial Grounds Care Society, 37 Bridge Street, Kentville, NS B4N
2E2. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
