Jean’s Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Parklane Terrace on September 8, 2024, in her 95th year. Predeceased by her husband Harry Salway (1988). Cherished mother of Rob Salway and Kim Salway. Loving grandmother (Grandee) to Nicholas, Alexander, and Mikhail. Jean is survived by her siblings Doug, Eloise, Gail (John), Jim (Ruth) and Jack (Heather). She will be dearly missed by many extended family members and friends.
Jean enjoyed a long, varied and successful career life balanced with copious family events at which her camera was always out. She was known for her ability to organize events and people, her love of babies, and never being on time!
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers of Park Lane Terrace (Twin Rivers Unit) for their exceptional care and compassion during this difficult time.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home. In accordance with Jean’s expressed wishes, cremation has already taken place. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date. In memory of Jean, donations to the W. Ross Macdonald School for the Blind (www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/brant-united-way/campaign/wrms-angel-fund) or Alzheimer’s Society of Brant would be appreciated by the family.
