At the ripe old age of 90 years, an angel came and ushered our father, grandfather and great grandfather into paradise. Where both Dad and Mom will wait for the resurrection of the body. Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife Fern (nee Stevenson). He will be dearly missed by his children Robin Postma (Diane) and Julie Koster (Richard). Proud grandpa of Steven, Jacqui (Justin), Kevin, Jamie (Chantal) and Krystal (Ben) and great grandpa of Mackenzie, Miley, Carter, Weston, Lawson, Lincoln, Jordynn, Hedley and Jagger. He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Dad came to Canada with his family after surviving WW|| in 1950. It was in July 1952 Dad met the love of his life at the Ottawa River in Castleford. They were married in 1954 and were inseparable. Our impressions as their family of Mom and Dad were a couple who loved life, loved God, and people from all walks of life. As a parting note, Dad and Mom never wanted the limelight, they did their work on foot from going house to house finding people who needed to be lifted up. It was their way of following Christ.
Professional arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of the service in the Zohr Family Chapel at 2:00 pm. An interment will take place in the Spring of 2024 at Sand Point Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to The War Amps.
