In Loving Memory of
Robert Malherbe
September 17, 1942 – April 22, 2023
With great sorrow his family announces his passing at the Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane, at the age of 80.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Patricia (nee Génier) Malherbe of 58 years, his children Roger (Monika) Malherbe, Lucie (Réjean) Dionne, Rachel (Dennis) Gill and Denis Malherbe, his 10 grandchildren Kendra Dionne (Justin), Krista Dionne (Joe), DJ Gill (Carissa), Derek Gill (Samantha), Jillian, Erika and Sean Malherbe, Evan, Olivia and Ava Malherbe, his 2 greatgrandchildren Ryder and Maple Gill. He will also be missed by his neighbours Carson and Colton who called him pepere, his sister Rita Girard (Harvey), Norma (late Charlie) Linklater, his sister in law Margaret and Gilberte Malherbe.
He was predeceased by his parents Exerace and Diane (nee Gagnon) Malherbe, his sisters Marie-Jeanne Malherbe, Rollande (Gordon) Shier and Rose (Ronald) Mann, brothers Ovila (Elsie), Lionel, Arthur, Alfred and Norman Malherbe and brother in-law Yvon Girard. He also leaves behind his in-laws of the Génier family, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Robert was a long time farmer. Worked for the Township of Glackmeyer as foreman for numerous years. He had a passion for fishing in Katawagami.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday April 28, 2023 at 11 am at the Transfiguration Church in Cochrane. A reception will follow at the Church Hall.
