It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Rob Stothers. Rob was a loving son, brother, uncle, father and grandfather. He passed comforted by his family on December 7th, 2024.
Rob is survived by his children Taylor (Megan) and Hope (Nicolas) and his beloved grandchildren Jaxson and Luca. Also mourning his loss are his mother Sandra, sister Kim, nieces Caitlyn (Eric), Ariana and Eisley, and his nephew Brady.
Rob was predeceased by his father Wayne, his grandparents, John, Evelyn and Helen as well as his favourite uncle Paul.
Rob was born on March 2nd, 1969, to Wayne and Sandra Stothers in Barrie, Ontario. The family moved to Portage La Prairie in 1974, where Rob made several friends that stuck by him through everything. Rob was a very kind-hearted and loving person who cared deeply for his family whom he was extremely close with. Rob loved riding his motorcycle, taking care of his vehicle and was a fan of all things Star Wars.
We would like to thank the staff at Portage General Hospital for their care and compassion.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 7-9:00pm at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Avenue Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
