Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 1, 2024 at the age of 76. Loving husband to Maureen (nee Carr) for 55 years.
Devoted father to Vincent (Sue) Taranto, Vicki (Tony) Crispo and Bobbi-Lynn (Gabe) Valente.
Precious Nonno to Robert and Sam Taranto, Kaylee Lett, Samantha, late Brianna (2003) and Marissa Crispo, Matteo and Gabriella Valente.
Beloved son to late Vincenzo and Angela Taranto.
Dear brother to late Vito (Diana) Taranto, late Rosa (late Vito) Catanzario, Guiseppe (Angela) Taranto, Maria (late Isidoro) Faraci, Sara (late Guiseppe) Vitale and Nancy (late Sam) Olivito. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Robert was a former Tool and Die Maker, a lifelong fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs fan and his favorite hobby was golfing and woodworking, making treasured gifts of bird houses, doll beds, canes and walking sticks.
Visiting at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841 on Friday July 5, 2024 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Prayers and Eulogies at 8:30 pm. Visiting continues on Saturday from 10am until time of prayers at 10:30am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
