It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Gordon Morrison announce his peaceful passing, surrounded by family at home in his happy place in Wasaga Beach, on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, in his 79th year.
He is survived by his loving wife Lynn Morrison of 28 years; his daughters Sarah Boddy (Darren) and Jillian Blake (Seamus); grandfather of Brenner, Colwyn, Saoirse, and Tadhg; brother of Elizabeth (the late Tony) and Mary Susan (Doug); and many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by many for his endless and unwavering love, generosity, and kind nature. As a car enthusiast, he never missed an opportunity to get together with the Racemasters Car Club. He had a dedication to public service epitomised by his work with the Town of Richmond Hill and his involvement with the Canadian Institute for Advanced Legal Studies. Many thanks to the staff at both Collingwood General and Marine Hospital and Sunnybrook Hospital, especially Doctors McKeown and Buckstein for their excellent care and advocacy along with his at-home palliative care team.
