Robert Hawco Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Francis Hawco at his home in Stephenville on Friday, December 8, 2023 at the age of 65 years. Predeceased by his parents: Phonse and Marg Hawco and his niece, Jane Hawco.
Leaving to mourn with broken hearts his wife, Rhonda; his sons: Adrian (April) and Bob; and his stepdaughter, Victoria; his brothers: Jim (Pam), Leo (Lorna) and Brian (Sue); his sisters: Regina, Anne and Bernadine (Stewart). Robert was blessed with four grandchildren: Nick, Dylan, Hailey and Jordan and one great-grandchild, Jaxson. Robert also leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, Bob’s mother Helene and his friends.
Robert was a kind, gentle soul who loved his family and friends. He had natural creativity and a deep lifelong passion for writing poetry and songs. His love for music followed him everywhere. A car ride with Robert never going without accompaniment by some of his favorites like Van Morrison or The Band. He loved reminiscing about growing up in Stephenville and Goose Bay playing hockey, frisbee and tennis. His young days in these towns sparked his love of hockey, especially The Montreal Canadiens. Above all, Robert had faith and love for The Lord which he shared in his love for his family and friends. We know Robert is in heaven with Mom, Dad and Jane getting ready for the Christmas Day game of 99s. We will all miss Robert dearly, holding his memory close to our hearts.
