It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Helmer on Thursday January 4th, 2024 at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Joan for 66 years. Dear father of Curtis (Karen) and Terry (Jantje). Cherished grandfather of Corey (Chantal), Christopher (Shannon), Jessie Jane (Emmett), Jordan (Delilah), and great-grandfather of Sydney, Zaiden and Charlie. Robert was predeceased by his granddaughter Sarah, brothers Ron and Russell and by his sister Myrna. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street (613-938-3888). For those who wish memorial donations may be made to Cornwall Hospice or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Online condolences may be shared at www.wilsonfuneralhome.ca
