It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bob «Robert» Elson age 70, who passed peacefully at St. Claire’s Mercy Hospital in St. John’s, NL, February 7th, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.
Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Sevilla Elson and step daughter Candice Lewis.
Leaving to mourn are his siblings; Carl (Carolyn), Derek (Laura), Lorrain (Don), Marion (Wayne), Frank (Angela), Sybil (George), Ruby, and Pauline. His children; Jason, Corinna (Carl), Lawrence (Stephanie), and Samuel. His stepchildren; Crista Lewis, Derek Lewis, Keith Lewis and Glennis Lewis. His grandchildren; Jordan (Kim), Alycia (Chad), Alyssa (Keely), Emilio (Adrian), Jasmine (Josh), Jermaine and Jacinda. His great grandchildren; Shakira and Wyatt. As well as an enormous group of family and friends.
Robert was born June 15th, 1952, in Spotted Islands, NL to Samuel and Sevilla Elson. Robert was well known for his enormous heart and the ongoing love he had for everyone who crossed his path. He showed a deep passion for all the children who entered his life, he was a loving father and grandfather who cared deeply and showed much support to all his loved ones. Robert will be dearly missed and forever loved by a large family and many friends.
A heart felt thank you to all the staff of St. Claire’s Mercy Hospital 6 East, for your compassion and care that you provided him during his stay.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held for Robert at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, King’s Cove, February 23rd, 2023 at 2:00pm
Robert’s final resting place will be in Goosebay, NL, reunited with his mom and dad. Funeral Service details to come at a later date.
