It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Wilson, who passed away peacefully on the night of July 25th at the age of 83.
Robert is survived by his loving daughter, Lori, her husband Stephen, and his beloved grandchildren Rachel & Ryan. He was a cherished father, father-in-law, and grandfather. He was predeceased by his wife, Susan, and their son, Christopher.
Robert cherished his large extended family and felt very close to all four of his brothers and five sisters, along with their families. Uncle Bob was popular and loved by all of his nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. Robert enjoyed reading, had a deep interest in history, and felt a strong connection to his Irish roots. He was also known for his compassion and dedication to helping others who had experienced suffering.
Robert’s Catholic faith was very important to him, and it is comforting to know that he is at peace now in God’s hands. The Marian Residence, where he lived for the last two years, supported his faith. We extend our deepest gratitude to the dedicated care team of nurses and support workers. We also offer a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Gregor for her kindness and care of Robert through the years.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at
St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Cambridge on Wednesday, July 31st, at 11:00 am. Please join us in the reception hall following Mass.
Interment of Robert’s ashes will take place at a later date in Perth, Ontario, at St. John’s Cemetery.
