It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert (BJ) James Butler on Monday, February 20, 2023; husband of Julie and father of Mackenzie and Keira. He was born in Barrie to Robert Butler and Debbie Sharp (deceased). Also, left to mourn are his brother, Devon Butler, his step-mother, Sharon Butler, his step-father, Ken VanSickle, and their extended families as well as numerous friends.
A loving and dedicated husband and father, his greatest joy was spending time with his family/friends and at their cottage on the Severn. Rob was employed at North East Tubes in Brampton, for 20 years where he will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Sunday, February 26th, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday, February 27th, 2023 at 3:00 pm. Memorial donations to a trust fund for his children would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Robert in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 21st Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
