Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, December 27, 2024, in his 97th year.
Bob Robertson of Petawawa, son of the late George and Reta Robertson (nee McCord). Brother of the late Lois Healey (late Ab), Smiths Falls; Elaine Chalmers (Jack), Petawawa; and Doris Robertson-Scott (late Don), Stittsville. Beloved Uncle Bob to Brenda Healey (Keith McNaughton) & Rob Healey (Synora Van Drine); Bruce Chalmers (Loretta), Heather Chalmers & Susan Chalmers; and Karen Robertson (Rob Therrien). Great-uncle to Alan, Judith & Naomi; Jeris (Morgan) & Connor; and Mylène. Great-great-uncle to Emrie & Adalyn.
Bob spent his career teaching for the CFB Petawawa Board of Education, retiring in 1985 after 33 years of dedicated service in a variety of roles. He had a passion for curling, golf, travel, and reading but most importantly, he was devoted to his family – his three sisters and his nieces & nephews that he greatly loved and spoiled shamelessly. The family wishes to thank the staff at Caressant Care in Cobden for their care of Bob.
Memorial visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. The service can be viewed at www.mdbfuneralhome.com. Interment of ashes in All Saint’s Anglican Cemetery, Petawawa at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Operation Smile Canada or CHEO would be appreciated.
