It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Robert “Bob” Findlay announce his passing, on Thursday July 6th, 2023 at the age of 58 years in Port aux Basques, NL.
With precious memories he leaves to mourn; his wife and best friend of 27 wonderful years; Kat (nee Murray); his children, Macy, Rebecca, and Michael (Janelle); grandchildren, Amelia, Wyatt and Eliza. He will also be forever missed by his parents, Raymond and Audrey Findlay (nee Hatch); sister, Shirley (Sean); brother, Bill (Amanda); mother in-law; Anita Pike, brother in-law Terry (Kelly) and sister in-law, Trish; nieces and nephews, Kathryn (Sandra), Ethan, Henry (Molly), Gavin, Lilly, Mikael and Chloe plus a very large circle of extended family and friends – especially his four-legged ones.
Bob radiated so much light. He had such a bright happy smile that could warm anyone’s heart and a heart of gold bigger then anyone could ever imagine. Bob was the first one to step in and act as a father figure, providing a positive role model for those he loved always promoting you to become a better person. In his eyes- as long as you were a good person, then you were good for Bob! Such a gentle giant who had a passion for animals and worked tirelessly for years with the Scaredy Cat Rescue in Port aux Basques. He proudly served for our country and thoroughly represented what he served for.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 12th from 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home, 57 Grand Bay Road. A service with his fellow con-rads will take place in New Brunswick at a later date. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to a rescue of ones choice.
