Passed away after a brief battle with cancer in the comfort of his own home, with family by his side on October 28, 2024 at the age of 88.
Beloved wife of Jean for 62 years. Loving father of Linda and Mike Lemieux and Fraser and Jodi Landsborough.
Cherished Papa of Taylor and Kathy, Ryan , Cameron , Megan and Kurtis and Liam. Great grandfather to Charlie. Will be missed by his furry pal Duncan.
Dear brother of Archie and Ina and Annette. Brother in law to Hugh and Nan and Tom and Marilyn. Uncle to Colin and Stewart (Lorraine) in Scotland and Scott (Heather) Julie(Tim) in Canada.
Bob came to Canada from Scotland on his own in 1967 to set up a better life for himself, Jean and Linda. It wasn’t long until they joined him and Fraser was born to complete the family.
Bob was a proud tool and die maker working at Budd Automotive most of his working life where he retired in 2001. Bob enjoyed fishing, golfing and his «meetings» at Tim Hortons with old friends.
Bob and Jean loved their trailer in Grand Bend where they spent many years making lifelong friends and spoiling the grand children.
He was always the first one there if you called for anything. The best husband , dad and Papa we could have asked for. We all will miss you so much. Rest now Papa.
Robert’s family will receive relatives and friends for a Celebration of Life from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1st, 2024 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation-Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
