We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our much loved Dad, Bob Grisdale. Surrounded by his family, Bob passed away after a courageous battle with complications from lung cancer. He will be forever in the hearts of his children Karen, Janice (Tavis), Dana (Paul) and Kirk (Terri), Tara (Sean), and Tobi (Adam). Waiting for him among the angels is his wife of 40 years, Heather, along with his granddaughter Sage Violet, son-in-law Mal, sisters Penny, Evelyn, Marjorie and brothers-in-law Gord and Charlie. Bob’s absence will be felt deeply in the hearts of his siblings Bill (Val), Ed (Sandie), Mary (Bill), Bonnie, Gord and Georgia. His strong spirit and kind heart live on in his grandchildren who were devoted to their beloved Papa. Bob was a Conductor and Brakeman for the Canadian Pacific Railway for more than 30 years and in retirement, took on varied roles including at the Royal Botanical Gardens and later opening Tobi’s Fry’s in the Dundas Driving Park. Bob was an avid supporter of Dundas Minor Hockey and local Racing. Our family wishes to thank Archana and the Lohit family, Dr. Steve Hadcock and the staff at Juravinski Hospital Ward C3 for their kindness and care. In honour of Bob, please consider contributing to the Cancer Assistance Program or the Salvation Army.
Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
