Robert Joseph (Bob) Babineau, age 61, peacefully passed away October 7, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.
Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Shelley Babineau and his mother, Stella Roy. He is survived by sister Lisa (Christian) Laplante of New Brunswick; brother Daniel (Rebecca) Babineau of Ontario; father Gerard (Eva) Babineau from Maymont, a step-sister and brother along with a niece and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his mother-in-law Elaine Nutbrown of Saskatoon; brother- and sister-in-law, Allan and Debra of Calgary.
Born in Bathurst, New Brunswick, Bob moved to North Battleford, Saskatchewan, in 1980 and not long after met his future wife. They wed on June 11, 1988, and were married 33 years.
Working at Intercon in Saskatoon for 22 years, Bob worked his way up to Operation Manager. Moved on to East Man Feeds for 6 years and finally at Prairie Meats for 4 years. Bob took great pride in his work and enjoyed his career.
Bob enjoyed camping at the lake and had quite a green thumb and enjoying tending to his garden. He and Shelley were dedicated Roughrider fans cheering on countless games and tried to take in at least one live game a year. Bob was also an avid pool player, winning quite a few tournaments.
Bob was a loving and caring husband; was known for his caring and gentle nature, easy smile and wonderful sense of humor. We will miss him dearly.
