It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert Allan Stanley, on Sunday, January 28th. Bob passed away peacefully at the G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Predeceased by his parents Allan John Stanley and Violet Stanley, brother Calvin Stanley, and Father-in-law Ernest Reid
Leaving to mourn, his wife and best friend Eva Stanley. Children, Shawn (Amanda), Shelley (Justin), Stephanie (Glen), Jason (Tanya), Mark (Margaret), Bobbi (Stan), and Justin. Grandchildren Jade, Emily, Jesse, Kendra, Kadee, Flynn, Tiffany, Deneka, Dominic, Glen, Martin, Ricky, Felicia, Beverly-Ann, and Kayla. Brothers, David (Louise) and Allan (Jean). Sisters, Beulah (Wayne) and Millie (Herb). Brother-in-Laws, Dennis (Pat), Lorne (Rona), Evan (Betty-Ann). Sister-in-laws, Rose, Verna, Jan (Keith), Marlene (Ford). Mother-in-law, Maude Reid. As well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Dr G B Cross Memorial Hospital and The Dr.H.Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre. A special thank you to the staff at the chemo clinic in Clarenville. You all showed such compassion to Bob during his time of need. A special thank you to his family doctor for over 20 years, Dr.Blaine Pearce. You went above and beyond, especially this last year.
Thank you to Kim and the staff at Vardy’s and the staff at Fewer’s Ambulance. Your compassion and kindness was greatly appreciated on many occasions.
Thank you to Stephanie Sweetland (Angel’s Touch), his home care worker. Your care helped make his last few months more comfortable. We appreciate you.
A special thank you to Bob’s good friends, Bill Hoskins, Paul Hoskins, and Uncle Rick Reid. Your friendship and helpfulness was greatly appreciated by him, especially the last few months.
As for his wishes, there will be no funeral or church service. He will be cremated and laid to rest at a later date.
