On Sunday, January 15, 2023 Robert MacDonald ‘Rob’ Hastings passed away peacefully in his 49th year at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus.
Rob is survived by his parents Debra Jean ‘Jeannie’ Crundwell Amos and Andrew ‘Drew’ Hastings as well as his dearest friend Jeni Fox.
Rob was predeceased by his Grandparents Don and Doris Crundwell, Art and Vera Hastings and best buddy Mike Moreland.
Despite the health challenges Rob has faced over the years he never lost faith in himself and truly lived life to the fullest. In later years he embraced photography which truly was his calling. So many of his photographs were shared with and enjoyed by so many. In addition, Rob loved NASCAR…race day or race night he was not to be interrupted as he cheered on his favourite driver Kevin Harvick.
There were many people over the years who so graciously helped him on his life’s journey. To those people who took the time to support him you have our everlasting and sincerest thanks.
A special thank you to «Sonny» his VON nurse…you brightened his life and gave him such wonderful and much needed care.
Rob touched so many during his life and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home (409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg, 519-627-3231) on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8pm.
