1946-2023
Rita Allain, 77, of Saint-Joseph-de-Kent, passed away peacefully,
surrounded by her family at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital,
Sainte-Anne-de-Kent on Thursday July 20, 2023. She was married to
Jean-Paul Allain. Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the
late Albert and the late Alice (LeBlanc) Bastarache.
Rita was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She will be sadly
missed by her husband Jean-Paul, her two daughters; Lise-Ann Gallant
(Roland) of Grande-Digue, Angèle Allain-Carroll (Steven) of
Saint-Joseph-de-Kent, her four grandsons; René, Jacob, Alexi and
Caleb. She also leaves to mourn her sister; Corinne Jaillet
(Léonard) of Saint-Joseph-de-Kent, her brother; Gerard
(Cécile) of Saint-Joseph-de-Kent as well as several nephews and
nieces, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
She was predeceased by five sisters; Lydia, Anne-Marie, Alberte, Irma
and Eveline as well as one brother; Ronald.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29, rue de
l’église, Bouctouche on Tuesday July 25, 2023 from 2:00 pm
to 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated
at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on
Tuesday July 25, 2023 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish
cemetery.
In Rita’s memory, donations may be made to the Saint-Jean
Baptiste parish fund or to the Vestiaire Saint-Jean Baptiste,
Bouctouche.
