Born in Hamilton on May 14, 1947, passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital, on January 14, 2024. Predeceased by his beloved wife Sandra (née Cameron). Dad to Jacqueline (Jamie) and Lindsay (Adrien). Much loved and adored “Papa” and “Papy” to Callum, Logan and Léa. Son to Vera Lawler and predeceased Jack Lawler. He will also be missed by his brother Brent, sister-in-law Peggy and their daughters, Melissa (Dave), and Michelle (Mike).
Ricky was an infectious personality. His vibrant spirit and warm-hearted nature endeared him to everyone, creating togetherness wherever he went. Whether it was his time, resources, or laughter, he was generous without hesitation. A vision etched in our minds will always be Ricky on the ski slopes with family and friends in Ellicottville, NY, a place that was always near and dear to his heart.
At the core of Ricky’s personality was a profound love for his family. His relationship with Sandra was the epitome of true love, an enduring bond that stood as a testament to the power of companionship. Together with their daughters, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams.
Friends will be received at a Celebration of Life to be held in the Spring.
