James Richard Thompson of Listowel passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, September 1, 2023, in his 84th year.
Husband of Hannah (Szlapa) Thompson, and the late Carol (Matheson) Thompson. Father of Reg & Judy Thompson of Ilderton, Rod Thompson & Karen St. Hill of Rockwood, and Laurie Thompson & John Wilson of Cobble Hill, BC. Also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Brother of Elizabeth Thompson of Listowel.
Predeceased by his parents Campbell & Vera (McIntosh) Thompson, and brother Robert Thompson.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. The service will be livestreamed, and the link available here shortly. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
