Ted Harding, The «Magic Man,» Passes Away at age 85
Richard “Ted” Harding, affectionately known as the «Magic Man» for his unique ability to blend his love of magic with his deep knowledge of the carpet and floor cleaning industry, passed away peacefully on July 10th 2024 at Sunnybrook Hospital surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ted’s journey in the industry began with a simple vision: to revolutionize the way we think about cleaning carpets and floors. With a wand in one hand and a cleaning tool in the other, Ted brought a touch of enchantment to every demonstration, captivating audiences with his seamless integration of magic and professional expertise.
As the founding member of Kleen Kuip Supply Mart Inc., Ted’s innovative spirit and dedication to excellence set the foundation for a company that prides itself on integrity, quality, and customer service. His passion was not just in the products he developed and sold, but in the countless hours he spent mentoring others, sharing his wealth of knowledge with anyone eager to learn.
Ted’s generosity of spirit and unwavering commitment to helping others will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He believed in the power of education and took great joy in watching his mentees grow and succeed. His influence extended far beyond the walls of Kleen Kuip, impacting the lives and careers of many within the industry.
Outside of his professional life, Ted was a beloved family man, a cherished friend, and an extraordinary individual who touched the hearts of many. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, innovation, and a magical touch that will be sorely missed.
Ted is survived by his wife Linda of 39 years. Dear father of Julie, Michael, and Randy (Katie).
Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Andrew (Richelle) and Savannah.
Dear brother of Joan, Bill (Irene) and Lynda.
Dear brother-in-law of Rosemary, Gloria, (Keith) and Suzanne (Scott).
Will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Richard and Jean Harding.
A Life Celebration will be held on Saturday September 7, 2024 between 1:00pm & 5:00pm at York Masonic Temple 1100 Millwood Road, East York, Ont. M4H 1A3 where friends and family will gather to celebrate his life and legacy. It will be “A Magical Affair” with our theme being magic.
Ted Harding’s magic lives on in the memories he created and the countless lives he touched. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide us, as we honor the remarkable life of a truly extraordinary man.
