Richard Stephen Wilson was born January 21, 1981 at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. He is the eldest of three sons born to Bill and Adeline Wilson of Archerwill, Saskatchewan. He attended school in Archerwill from Kindergarten to Grade 9; and Grade 10-12 in Rose Valley. Richard played hockey and ball when he was in school. He enjoyed camping and being outdoors.
Richard was interested in mechanics, fixing vehicles at a young age. He was working on something a lot of the time. He worked as an Electricians helper with his dad, and various jobs in Alberta and British Columbia. Richard worked at the Rimrock Resort Hotel in Banff, did car sales, construction, carpentry work, dry walling, and flooring installation to name a few. Richard took a Business Management course at Sprott Shaw Community College. He had a passion for crystals and stones and their healing properties. Richard also showed an interest in other natural medicines. He had love for his dogs as well as those of his friends. Richard loved the mountains and being in nature. He took many pictures of the land and the sky, lakes, mountains, sunsets, sunrises, clouds and the moon.
Richard passed away on January 1, 2023 at home in Abbotsford, BC.
Richard was predeceased by his Grandfather Arnold Wilson, Grandmother Ida Wilson, Grandfather Bill Kanak and Auntie Peggy Johnson, as well as his dogs that went ahead of him.
Richard leaves his parents Billy and Adeline, brother Jeffrey Wilson and Jennifer (Kylee and Jeremy Hosken), brother David Wilson, Grandmother Pauline Kanak, all of his aunts, uncles and cousins;
as well as many friends, especially Nicki Arbeau.
Richard is known for his big heart, helping anyone he could; he had a strong belief in God and love for his family. He dreamed big and always had plans. His smile, laugh and stories will be missed by many. Richard will be loved forever and remembered always.
The Service for celebrating Richard’s life will be held April 29, 2023 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Archerwill, Saskatchewan. Thank you to everyone for their kind words and sharing memories at this difficult time.
