Richard Wood
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Wood, following a challenging and heroic battle with cancer. He will be forever remembered by his wife Robbie, children Jacqueline and Christopher, son in law Sam and daughter in law Linda, and his grandchildren Caleigh and Emilia. Richard was predeceased by his mother Norma (Vannatter) Wood in 2014, and is survived by his bothers Michael (Patti) Wood and Perry Wood, mother-in-law Pauline Herron and brother-in-law George (Brenda) Herron.
Richard was a loving husband and father, a generous friend and a caring member of the community who was known to go out of his way to help the people around him. While his home was in Tillsonburg for nearly his entire life, he sought to impact far beyond and proudly served as Past President of the Canadian and Ontario Real Estate Associations.
We are immensely grateful to the incredible team at the London Health Sciences Centre and others, including his daughter Jacqueline and dear friend Howard Lamb, who fought at his side. In lieu of flowers, please support the LHSC Cancer Program and raise a toast to an absent friend and a life well lived. Donations may be made directly with the charity or by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, (519) 842-5221.
Donations can be made via cheque payable to the London Health Sciences Foundation – Cancer Program by mailing to Ostrander’s Funeral Home with note advising donation is to be in memory of Mr. Wood and details of who made the donation and address to forward to the family.
