Kuehn, Rev. Marcus:
After a short illness, it has pleased almighty God to call to Himself His servant Marcus Kuehn at the age of 90 years. He was surrounded by his family at the end of his life and has now joined the company of saints awaiting the resurrection of all flesh.
The family rejoices in the extra time we had together after his cardiac issues 18 months ago and that he was able to go about and do the things he loved with his family and friends before his final hour arrived.
Beloved husband of Barbara for 63 years.
Loving father of Timothy, Deborah, Benjamin (Lisa Gillissie) and Rebekah (Rev. Kenneth Voege).
Cherished grandfather to Paul and Peter.
Dear brother to Miriam Hitzman (late Gene), Lois Eickstadt (late Bob), Esther Droege (late Tom), the late Paul Kuehn (Arlene) and Judy Kuehn.
Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Mary (nee Hennig), siblings, Ruth Olsen (Tom), Rhoda Aloy (Dick), Beata in infancy, and Hanah in infancy.
Pastor Kuehn’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 700 Glen Forrest Blvd, Waterloo. Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Messiah Lutheran Church followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. John Rapp officiating. Reception to follow at the church. Those unable to attend may join the service via live stream at www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Messiah Lutheran Church or Lutheran Bible Translators Canada would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
