It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Reginald Rosewell Foster Melen, age 97. He passed away peacefully, after visiting with his children on Father’s Day.
Reginald will be forever remembered by his children; Dorothy/Dee (John) Hool, Lloyd Melen, Kelly (Paul) Bowie, grandchildren; Leslie Ann Iddison (Sean), Shannon (David) Hrycyna, Trevor (Vanessa) Bowie, Stephanie (Hasan) Aygun; step grandchildren Sheri (Richard) Ranger, Amanda Hool; great grandchildren Molly, Jacob, Catherine & Benjamin Hrycyna and Samantha Pitcher.
Reginald, known as Foster to his family and friends, was born and raised on Manitoulin Island. His family moved to Saskatchewan where he was raised, returning to Ontario as a teenager. He and Lorraine married in Toronto and resided in Alderwood for over 60 years. Reginald was a proud Engineer with CN Railways for over 30 years. His cheeky spirit and quick wit will be sadly missed.
Please join us celebrating his life Sunday afternoon July 7th 2024 between 2:00 – 4:00 at G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Avenue, Toronto, ON M8V 1R2. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Society www.cancer.ca
