It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Regina ‘Jean’ Mallay of Marystown announces her passing. Jean passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital on Friday, March 10th, 2023, at the age of 77. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her daughters, JoAnne Mallay of Marystown, Katrina Mallay (Kevin) of Portugal Cove; sons, Michael Mallay (Paula) of Marystown, Howard Jr. Mallay of Marystown; partner, Stuart King of Gander; sisters, Ethel (Martin) O’Keefe (Martin) of Burin, Marlyn Croft (Clarence) of Mt. Pearl, Patricia Rose of Calgary; brother, Bill (Carolyn) Rose of Halifax; grandchildren, Christopher and Jeana-Marie Mallay, David, Catherine Ann (deceased) Luke, Sarah and Maggie Jones, McCailey & Keegan Mallay; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Jean was predeceased by her husband Howard (Hod) Mallay, parents Raymond & Catherine Rose; Stepmother Nora Rose; granddaughter Catherine Ann Jones; sister Ellen Dalton; parents-in-law, James & Margaret Mallay.
The Mallay Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Marystown, on Sunday, March 12th, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm., Monday, March 13th, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery.
