Obituary of Raymond Lindbergh Rose
It is with great sadness that the family of Raymond ”Rosie” Lindbergh Rose, announce his passing on October 27, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 11, 1937, he was the son of the late Roland and Lillian (Hayter) Rose.
Raymond served with the Royal Canadian Artillery from 1957-1991, in which he served most of time at CFB Gagetown, and serving from 1969-1972 in Germany. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #93 and a member of the Atlantic Gunners Association. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf Fan. Raymond was well known and loved in Oromocto, by all who knew him.
Raymond loved his family and believed they are his legacy, surviving are his wife of 60 years, Ruth; children, Sandi Rose (Troy Hiscock), Oromocto, and Michael Rose (Susanne), Calgary AB; grandchildren, Tyler, Bryden, Kaleb, Alexa, Emmett and Melissa.
The family of Raymond would like to say thank-you to the doctors and nurses of 4SW at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital for all their compassionate care.
Visitation will take place on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 4-8 pm at Oromocto Funeral Home with the Royal Canadian Legion Tribute Service at 6:30 pm. Interment will take place at Oromocto Pioneer Gardens Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #93, The Chalmers Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
