It is with great sadness that the family of Ray O’Driscoll announce his passing at GB Cross Memorial
Hospital in Clarenville at the age of 77 on November 6, 2023, after a battle with cancer.
Ray is predeceased by his father John, mother Anne (Tracey), brothers Michael, Jerry, Anthony, Jim, Joe,
Kevin, and sister-in-law Julie.
Left with fond memories are his sister-in-law’s Agnes, Bridie, and Shirley
O’Driscoll. While Ray never had any children of his own, he was loved and will be greatly missed by his
many nieces and nephews. Also, leaving to mourn are many relatives and friends.
Ray had many friends from all over (yes, most were drinking buddies) and he valued every friendship. He
enjoyed reading, probably where he learned his dry wit! He went out of his way to lend a helping hand
and would often torment his fellow friends!
A special thank you to the staff at Cozy Quarters in Clarenville for the care provided to Ray throughout
the past 9 years. Thank you to the staff at G.B. Cross palliative care unit for their care and compassion.
Visitation:
Funeral service will take place on Monday, Nov. 13th
with inurnrment to follow at St. Patrick’s Roman
Catholic Cemetery, Plate Cove East
