It is heavy hearts that the families of Raymond John Gillingham announce his passing at the Western Long Term Care Facility in Corner Brook, NL, on Wednesday, January 4th, 2024, at the age of 90 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children; Marvin (Bernice) Gillingham, Janette (Leonard) Pilgrim, Brada (Gary) Ricketts, Raymond Jr (Vivian) Gillingham, Bonnie (David) Schesnuk, Bruce (Suannne) Gillingham, Donna (Calvin) Thomas, and Donella (Clyde) Thomas, his grandchildren; Amanda (Rob), Marlon (Lorrie), Lynette (Brock), Byron, Mandy (Shawn), Teya, Nicholas, Krista (Adam), Kayla, Matthew (Rebecca), Dylan (Miranda), Deanna (Patrick), Gillian (Ethan), and Ryan, his great grandchildren; Devon, Marissa, Ira, Lilah, Cameron, Brooklyn, Ryan, Justin, Ava, Katrina, Grayson, Cameron, Wesley, Bridgette, Sheradin, Madysen, Ariel, Ava, Jayce, and Grace, his siblings; Bertha (Willis) Langford, Garfield (Dora) Gillingham, Dinah (Neville) Ralph, Calvin (Millicent) Gillingham, Pierce (Yvonne) Gillingham, Ross (Christine) Gillingham, Valerie Pittman, and Barry (Sandra) Gillingham, and his sister-in-law; Theresa Pittman.
Raymond was predeceased by his wife; Rose nee Pittman, his children; Melvin Gillingham, his baby boy Gillingham, baby girl Gillingham, his grandson; Shane Thomas, his parents; Bessie and Job Gillingham, his siblings; Margaret (Edgar) Chipp, Albert Gillingham, Carrie (Claude) Combdon, Linda Blanchard, his mother and father-in-law; Margaret and James Pittman, his sisters and brothers-in-law; Martha (Jeremiah) Brenton, Gilbert Pittman, Cyril Pittman, Winnie Pittman, and Bruce Pittman.
The family will be receiving family and friends at the Pentecostal Church in Sop’s Arm, NL, on Monday, January 8th, 2024, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place form on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Terry Grimes officiating with the interment to follow at the family plot of the church cemetery, in Sop’s Arm, NL.
