The family announces with great sorrow his sudden passing from his short battle with cancer on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Health Sciences North at the age of 71.
Devoted husband to the love of his life, Darlene Cardinal. They had just recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Loving father of Jamie Cardinal and Amanda Lachance (Joel). Dear grandfather of Noah and Haley Lachance and J.J. and Riley Cardinal. Also left to mourn are his siblings, family and friends.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Raymond enjoyed camping, fishing, blueberry picking, painting and bingo. He loved to spend time with his wife and his family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Shum and the staff at Health Sciences North in Sudbury for all their efforts as well as their care and compassion.
With respect to his wishes, a cremation will take place and there will be no funeral service. A private celebration of life will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted with LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre. Remembrance donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
