The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Elizabeth Centre in Val Caron on Friday, January 26, 2024, at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband of 64 years to the late Janine (née Couturier) Beaulieu predeceased 2018. Ray was born in Riviere-du-Loup, Quebec to the late Philippe Beaulieu and the late Anne-Marie (née Proteau) Beaulieu. Loving father of Nancy Exworth (late Terry), Bernie Beaulieu (Helen), Richard Beaulieu (Patsy), Denis Beaulieu (Shelley) and Martin Beaulieu (Bernadette). Cherished grandfather of Allison, Andrew, Joel, Justin, Chris, Alex, Chloe, Zach, Dean, Kalia and great-grandfather of Noah, Lily, Brielle, Luc and Daniel. Ray will be sadly missed by his family in Quebec.
Ray retired from INCO after 30 years of service and proceeded to have a second career with the Ontario Ministry of Labour. Over the years he loved spending time at his cottages on the French River and Joe Lake.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Elizabeth Centre for their care and kindness during dad’s final years.
There will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Ste-Marguerite d’Youville Church, Val Therese. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ray’s name to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
