Leck, Ralph – Age 78 of Stewiacke, passed away August 29, 2023 surrounded by loved ones, after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Douglas and Beulah (Fleck) Leck.
Ralph spent all of his life in Stewiacke, raising their family with his late wife, Vangie (Spencer) Leck. He worked numerous jobs before settling as a truck dispatcher for Taylor’s / Thomson’s Transfer and later at Casey Concrete. Ralph enjoyed his fishing trips to Mooseland with George and Mike Howlett and friends. Whether they took fishing rods or not, a good time was had by all. Later in life, he enjoyed his time with his coffee buddies and his Saturday night pizza crew. Ralph will be remembered for his big heart as he loved helping family and friends in any way he could.
Ralph will always be loved and missed by daughter, Michelle (Dennis); son, Jamie (Paula); daughter-in-law, Amberlie; sisters, Juanita and Martha; Ralph loved his many happy hours spent with his granddaughters, Kristen, Julia and Claudia; and grandsons, Coty and Hayden. Ralph will be sadly missed by his best friend, Molly the puppy.
He was predeceased by brother, George; son, Douglas; and wife, Vangie.
Cremation has taken place.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 10 at 3 p.m., in Pine Grove Cemetery, East Stewiacke.
Memorial donations may be made to Huntington Society of Canada.
