Ralph MacKinnon Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Chapman House on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Born in Stratford on June 27, 1946, Ralph Oliver MacKinnon of Owen Sound was in his 78th year.
Beloved husband for 54 years of Lynda MacKinnon (nee Paff) of Owen Sound. Loving father of Shannon of Toronto, Siobhan of Port Elgin and Michael (Melanie) of Stratford. Cherished grandpa of Maverick and Bodhi. Dear brother-in-law of Patricia McKinnon, Sharron Brennan (John), Eldon Paff (Gladys) and Doug Wood (Patricia). Ralph will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends, especially Bryan and Brenda Finlayson.
Predeceased by his parents Donald and Marjorie McKinnon, his in laws Jeane and Robert Wood, and by his siblings Gladys McKinnon, Lorne McKinnon, Barry MacKinnon (Suzanne Lauzon) and Phyllis Becker (Carl).
After being born in Stratford, Ralph was raised on the family farm near Cromarty, Ontario. Ralph enjoyed a career as a lineman/journeyman for Ontario Hydro, starting his career in Guelph and finishing in Owen Sound.
Ralph’s family would like to extend many thanks to all the staff of Chapman House for their kindness and superb care of Ralph and his family.
In keeping with Ralph’s wishes, cremation is taking place and a private family interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
