Rachel Emily Spencer (Piercey)
Passed peacefully away on June 2nd, 2023 at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton, NL, Rachel Emily Spencer (nee Piercey), age 93 years of Harbour Breton, formerly from Pass Island, NL.
Rachel leaves to mourn her loving family; sons, Thomas (Irene) at Seal Cove, Allan (Diane) at Boxey, Henry (Patricia) at Gander, Carl (Patricia) at Harbour Breton, Roy (Suzanne) at Mount Pearl and Chris (Frances) at Sooke, BC; daughter, Margaret (Garry Molloy) at Harbour Breton; a large number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, Harold Piercey (Susie) at St. John’s; sisters in law, Alice Piercey and Kay Piercey; home care workers, Melinda Langdon and Georgina Pierce; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rachel was predeceased by her husband, Henry, in 1997; sons, Tony Spencer and William Spencer (Marilyn); parents, George and Elizabeth Piercey; daughter in law, Theresa Spencer; grandson, Chris Spencer; brothers and sisters; and other family members.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at Spencer’s Funeral Home, Harbour Breton.
Funeral Service will take place at St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church in Harbour Breton on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 11:00 am with Rev. Bruce Vallis and Rev. Roy Simms officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery in Hermitage, NL.
