It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother at 88 years of age. Mom is now reunited with her soulmate Edward (2011) who considered her to be an angel on earth. Ever-caring mom to Linda Guy (Bill), Michael (2017), Karen, Paul, Gary (Bobbi). Precious grandmother of Ryan and Amy Lynn Guy and great grandmother to Elizabeth along with a soon to arrive great grandson. Dear sister of the late Delores Specht (Mike), Louise Clark (late Jeff) and Chris Maslanka. Predeceased by parents Stanley and Gladys Maslanka, as well as sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Rudolph Slomiany.
Mom enjoyed an active life gardening, cooking, baking, cruising and reading. She was all about taking care of each other, whether it be loved ones, friends, neighbors or complete strangers including those she cared for in her hospice work. She was always there to listen, advise and celebrate with her family. We could not have asked for a better mom. She will be greatly missed!
Join us in celebrating her life! Visitation will be held Friday 9:30 -11:00 a.m. immediately followed by a funeral service all at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor. Burial at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
