It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Phyllis E. Walsh of Marystown announces her passing. Phyllis passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023, at the age of 76. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband, Ray of 58 years; sons, Barry Walsh (Edna) of Marystown and Jason Walsh (Ginger) of Winterland; daughters, Georgina Coady of Marystown and Nadine Randell (Darryl) of Port Au Bras; 8 grandchildren, Tara Cheeseman (Mike), Shane Coady (Tara), Jordan Power, Riley Walsh, Gerald Randell (Emma), Darryl Randell Jr., Mahaila Walsh and Kelly Walsh; 7 great-grandchildren, Makayla, Daniel, Hayden, Easton, Everly, Keegan and Charlotte; sister, Edna Drake of Frenchman’s Cove; brother, Lorne Newport (Annie) of Winterland; sister-in-law, Eloise Newport of Winterland; plus a large circle of relatives and friends.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Susie & Richard Newport; brothers, Frank Newport, Obadiah Newport and Reuben Newport; sisters, Mahaila Newport, Julia Lee, Meta Cumben and Susie Walters; and son-in-law, Gerard Coady.
In honoring her wishes, cremation will take place.
The Walsh Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Marystown on
Monday, December 11th
10am – 12noon
2pm – 4pm
7pm – 9pm
Prayer Vigil will take place at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes, Marystown on Monday, December 11th, 2023 at 8:15pm.
In Phyllis’s memory, donations may be made to The Walsh Family or flowers gratefully accepted.
