1936-2024
At the Grand Falls General Hospital, December 11, 2024, Mr.
Philip Babineau of New Denmark passed away at the age of 87 years. He
was the husband of Jeannine (Theriault) Babineau. Born at Hazeldean in
1936, he was a son of the late Arthur and Claudia (Caissie)
Babineau.
He is survived by his wife Jeannine, his daughter, Claudene
Babineau-Ackert (Mark Ackert) of Ingersoll, Ontario, three
granddaughters, Makenzie, Madison and Morgan, Jeannine’s three sons,
Luke (Ida) of Hamilton, Ontario, Ron Jr. (Becky) of Windsor, Ontario
and Steven of Ontario, brothers and sisters, Alex (late Doris) of New
Denmark, Peter (Margaret) of Ontario, Paul (Ann) of Crombie
Settlement, Rose Babineau and Margaret Babineau of Fredericton,
sister-in-law, Joan (late Leonard) of Crombie Settlement, as well as
nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers Leonard and Ernest (late
Gladys), brother Sylvain and sister Mary Anne at a young age. He was
also predeceased by his wives, Marian, and Ann Bouma (Claudene’s
mother).
Resting at the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Blue Bell
with visiting on Saturday, December
14th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
His funeral service will be
held Saturday, December 14th at 11:00
a.m. from the church with Father Gilbert
Doddatto officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery in
the Spring.
For those who wish, donations to the Foundation of the
Friends of the Grand Falls General Hospital would be appreciated by
the family.
