Peter Cornelius Henrices Goeseels, at the age of 69, of Airdrie, Alberta, passed away on December 6, 2023. He was born on July 26, 1954, in Montague, P.E.I. Peter was a hardworking, loyal individual who greatly admired his coworkers. He loved his family and friends dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Peter was passionate about outdoor activities such a as boating, camping, quading, and biking. He also had a knack for building various projects and landscaping.
Peter is survived by his beloved wife Deanna Peterson of Calgary; his son Ryan Goeseels (Alicia) of Calgary; his grandson Damen Goeseels of Calgary; his granddaughter Kayla Ferguson of Calgary; his sisters Wilhelmina Murphy (Charles) of P.E.I, Dimphy MacDonald (Gerard) of P.E.I, Christina McCabe (Danny) of P.E.I, Elsie Goeseels of P.E.I, Valerie Janowitz (Marcel) of Ontario; his brothers Jules Goeseels of Alberta, Joseph Goeseels (Jean Marie) of P.E.I, Anthony Goeseels (Sylvie) of Alberta, Danny Goeseels (Tracy) of P.E.I, and many nieces and nephews.
Peter was preceded by his father Petruis (Peter) Jules Louis Goeseels and his mother, Antonia Cornelia Goeseels (Vriends). Peter’s parents immigrated to Canada from Breda, Holland in 1953 and raised their 10 children on the family farm in Vernon River, P.E.I.
A memorial service to celebrate Peter’s life will be held on Sunday, December 17th, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Snodgrass Funeral Homes – High River, located at 301 Macleod Trail SW, High River, AB T1V 1Z5.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made in Peter’s memory to the Tom Baker Cancer Center, Alberta Cancer Foundation, 710, 10123-99 Street, Edmonton, AB T5J 3H1, or online at albertacancer.ca/in-memory.
Snodgrass Funeral Homes – High River, located at 301 Macleod Trail SW, High River, AB T1V 1Z5, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
