It is with profound sadness that we
announce the passing of Perry Douglas
Robinson, age 70, of Amherst, NS. Perry passed away at
the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Wednesday, June 19,
2024.
Born in Amherst, NS, he was a son of the
late June (Lewis) Robinson and the late Joshua Bond
Robinson.
Perry was a devoted man of God who loved
his Lord and Saviour. He was a faithful member of the Gospel
Light Baptist Church in Amherst. He dearly loved his wife,
Wanda, his children, his grandchildren, and the odd Diet
Pepsi.
In his younger years, Perry served in
the Canadian Armed Forces before attending Dalhousie University while
working in the aerospace industry at the same time.
He was a hard worker, very thrifty, and
a tough man with a soft heart. He was handy and able to fix
anything. He was loved by all who knew him and will be
profoundly missed.

Perry will be deeply missed by his wife
Wanda, Amherst; 6 children, Elizabeth (Conrad), Keith, Amanda (Brian),
Lacey, Matthew (Megan) and Tiffany; several grandchildren and great
grandchildren; his brothers, Keith (Heather), Robert and Alton
(Jane). He will also be missed by his Auntie Ann, his Uncle
Hank as well as his Uncle Mac (Barbara); his parent-in-laws, Jack and
Dianna Wheaton; brothers in law, Jack and Stephen; sisters in law,
Lynn, Shelley, Tammy (John) and Crystal and several nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, Perry was
predeceased by a brother Max, his paternal grandparents, Alma
(Robinson) Bennett; his stepgrandfather, Roger Bennett; his uncle
Colin Bennett; his maternal grandparents, Violet and Blair Lewis, as
well several aunts and uncles.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church
St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). A time of gathering with
the family and light refreshments will be held at the Gospel Light
Baptist Church, 25 Hickman Street, Amherst, NS on Monday, June 24,
2024 from 11 am until the time of the funeral at 1 pm.
Interment to follow in the River Hebert Cemetery.
Donations in Perry’s memory may be given
to the Gospel Light Baptist Church.
