Perley Robert Trail of Temperance ale, NB passed away peacefully on May 17, 2023, at the Carleton Manor. He was born on November 20, 1938, at Nortondale, NB. Perley was the son of the late Ralph and Florence (Hallett) Trail.
Perley enjoyed being outside and was usually found working in his woodlot. In the spring he would pick fiddleheads and make maple syrup. He drove truck, owned his own truck wash, cut wood, was a farmer and made the best maple syrup. He loved watching NCIS or westerns, going for drives, going to the local coffee shop to drink coffee and talk to the locals.
He is survived by his children Selena Trail, Temperance Vale, and John Spavold (Susie), Temperance Vale ; grandchildren Cody Spavold and Taylor Trail; a brother Gerald Trail , Temperance Vale and a sister Doris Cole, Woodstock NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Perley is predeceased by a son Dana Trail, the mother of his children Berma Spavold , brother Chester Trail and a sister Leona Porter.
Visitation will be held at Carleton Funeral Home on Tuesday May 23, from 1-2 PM
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel,
Interment to follow at Temperance Vale Baptist Cemetery.
If so desired, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by family.
